Phala World is introducing its incubation and customization mechanism from the fifty day of December 2022 by 8 p.m. (SGT/UTC+8).
What is the incubation mechanism?
The incubation mechanism permits users to seamlessly access the necessary energy that they need to finish tasks. It includes them being able to feed themselves, get access to energy boost and do much more. As a result of this, they are able to seamlessly unlock those items that have been previously locked and customise or tweak their Shell to their taste. The aim of the customization feature is to permit users to customise any part of their Shell that they want.
Once the incubation period comes to an end, users are allowed to decide on their item choices and get a peek of their Shell NFT. The power of customization falls in the hands of the user.
What is the Shell NFT?
The Shell NFT is designed to contain multiple nested NFTs that are used to represent a Slot. A slot means a collection of items that work together. When the incubation period is on, users can access new and unique types of Slot for different species.
As part of the system, the items that they contain can be unlocked with the necessary energy. Users are permitted to equip or unequip every Slot NFT from the Shell. They can also trade them in an NFT Marketplace if they wish.
What happens in the energy accumulation, incubation, and customization period?
The first stage is the energy accumulation period, which takes fourteen days. In this stage, users or survivors are permitted to accumulate energy by carrying out different types of tasks. The tasks popped up during the period. At the moment, this stage has come to an end.
The next stage is the incubation period, which lasts for eight days. It will begin on the fifth of December 2022 and end on the 12th. In this stage, survivors are allowed to feed their Shells or to feed the Shells of others. The choice is theirs.
Once this period starts, users can unlock different Slot Type and they are allowed to utilize the energy they gathered in the previous stage to unlock different items.
The number of items that a user can unlock is based on the amount of energy that they have. This means the higher the amount of energy they have, the larger the size of items that they can unlock. Users are then allowed to decide on how their final outfit would look like before the incubation stage comes to an end. Any decision that is not made before the deadline is ignored.
After the incubation period comes to an end, the Shell is minted and users can see the final forms.
How does the Incubation mechanism work?
Typically, it involves some steps that survivors or users are expected to follow.
- The first stage involves survivors minting and receiving their Origin Shell NFT in their wallet or account.
- In the second stage, every shell that a user has is entitled to five food every day, and they are allowed to have a maximum of five food during a designated period.
- Survivors are permitted to use the food to feed their Shells or donate to others. The choice lies with them.
- Every shell has to be fed by the same account twice daily, meaning that if an account feeds a shell at the beginning of the day, no other account is allowed to feed that shell during that day.
- Once a shell is fed, three types of energy systems are formed. The first one is given to the account that has fed the shell. The second is given to the account that has being fed. This means that those that feed their Shells are given three types of energy, while those that decide to feed the Shells of others have access to only one, while the owner of the shell gets two.
- The incubation period is expected to last for eight days. Every day will unveil a new set of item slots. These items can be used in equipping the gear.
- Users are expected to consume energy if they want to unlock new items that they can use in equipping. Every Shell has different forms of rarities, hence, they need varying levels of energy before they can unlock an item. This means the higher the rarity level of your shell, the higher the level of energy needed to unlock an item.
- It is important to note that if you use an energy to unlock an item, you can’t go back. The energy can’t be gotten back.
- Every shell has a limit on the number of special items that they are allowed to equip.
- Users are required to choose their final outfit and save it before the incubation period comes to an end.
It’s important to note that this needs to be done manually to ensure your Shell will be awakened.
